Bolting Seats into floor of CJ7

Hey out there! Does anyone know the size, length, and thread count of the OEM bolts that bolted the seat risers to the body? Also, where do I get them? Thanks!

Unfortunately, I do not have the answer you seek. I can tell you this, though. I went to 4 hardware stores and spent roughly $20 on different size "test" bolts trying to find the right one. I wound up drilling the floor out and using hardened bolts found at any hardware store. I don't know if it was that I couldn't find the right threadcount or that the floor's threads were so messed up from 20 years. If I had to do it again, I'd just get the new bolts, nuts, & washers and call it done.

Now that I'm just thinking about it... and not doing it... have you tried the parts counter at a Jeep dealer? I know they can look up the part; maybe their part desc. will tell the threadcount etc.

Thread gauges are inexpensive tools one seldom uses, but handy to have stashed away in a toolbox.
