Axle seals

I've been wrestling with my 99 cherokee for the last few days and I'm still wrestling it I thought I might have screwed up one of the new seals when I put it in and low and behold I did. Its been a long job of cutting bolts off to getting the ball joint out which was much harder than it should have been.

Anyway does anyone have a good idea on how to put the axle seal in? I got the other in and its fine not leaking gear oil at all. Whats a good way to install it? I dug through quite a few of old posts and didnt find anything helping me.

Thanks.

I use a seal driver from the local auto parts store, and come in from the opposite end with a long wooden dowel that fits through the other axle seal. Helps to have another set of hands hold the seal driver in place while you drive it home by striking the wooden dowel.
