I'm planning to swap my AX15 to an NV3550 manual transmission in my 1991 Wrangler and I was wondering what exactly is involved. I know that I have to buy a new bellhousing and external slave cylinder, but do I also have to buy the newer style transfer case shifter or can I use my old one? Is there anything else that I need to buy/do? I purchased the NV3550 because I read that it is a slightly heavier-duty transmission and is a direct replacement for the AX15...I'm still waiting for it to arrive. Thanks for your help!
