I tore down a donor 89 AX15 to see what was needed to repair. One of the items is the counter 5th gear. No problem there. What I need to know is about where the shaft that counter gear is on goes into the rear housing. Is there some kind of bushing that needs to be there? There has been some rubbing of the housing by the end of the shaft. There is a hole in the end of the shaft also. Some pictures show something there, but no one has any part listed for that spot. There is also a groove in the housing like something fits there. Can anyone tell me for sure if I am missing a part? Also, has anyone dealt with a seller on ebay called Light Duty Truck Parts?
