Hello. i have 2006 grand checke jeep. 3L diesel. the parking sensor will go red. and then it will stick in gear and wont change up or down. if i hit it across it will be ok. but this morning it would not do any thing. any idea what it could be. its at the deal now. but all they say it was low on oil. and only a couple of days ago. it had a service. so i know it not the oil in the gear box.

Was it the same people that did the service?. The parking sensors has no relevance to the Transmission shift concern. the only connection between the two is a bussed communication that the veh. is in reverse that in turn will enable the proximity sensors.. The transmission, NAG1, if it's not equipped with a Dipstick, should only be serviced by a certified technician. A combination of the Starscan/Starmobile scantool and a special tool is required for fluid level check.. So if the same dealership had performed the service ,and they are saying it's low on ATF+4, then they should be held accountable for that discrepancy..BTW, there is a Recall, F28 on that model, make sure you get that taken care of from the dealer.

thanks for the replay. its funny how there 2 red light come on. and the park sensors are disable. and p1234nrd all have box round them. when it happens. can i ask what f28. cheers

I'm glad you asked about the F28. after reading thru it, it only applies on the international markets. sorry my bad. The Park assist module should have a DTC if both of the red lamps are on and the system is disabled.
