I saw one in the hardware store the other day and it said on the package that dogs, cats, and humans can't hear that frequency

I'm not saying they work though. Just thought for as cheap as they are it might be worth a shot.

Well, you really didn't hear it so much as you felt it....kind of set your teeth on edge just being in the same room with it, and after a while, I'd get a bad headache and feel like I was going to explode from being so tense.

That's because you have super sensitive eardrums from damage caused by changes in atmospheric pressures during your storm chasing escapades  JK

I've got 3 of the electronic devices at my hunting cabin. They seem to be pretty effective. You can 't hear them working at all. They are $15 each at Lowe's. We had a serious field mouse problem up to that point. You could take out a new loaf of bread, make a sandwich, go to living room and eat sandwich, come back to a hole eaten through the bag. We still store our food in dry storage (an old freezer that is unplugged) but the mice and their nasty droppings have disappeared since the electronic devices.
Oh yeah, a .22 cal rifle works well on mice also, just don't hit your car.
