Anyone ever cracked their roll bar?

Plow?

I was out 4 wheelin today with some buddies up a dry river bed near hear. The whole trip up is nothing but large boulders you have to go over. Anyways, I was going over one large boulder and my suspension was maxed out, I was on 3 wheels, then I heard a crack. Turns out I cracked my roll bar at the weld near where it bolts to the windsheild frame. I'm guessing it's from too much flex in the body. Just wondering if anyone has ever experienced this before. Also, I'm thinking about doing a 1 inch body lift for a little more room in the wheel wells. Do you think the body lift will make this problem worse?

Sounds like the perfect time to put in that full cage roll bar. hehehe tug

i've often thought about doing some bar modifications, not that i need them.. but for badass points... it could be due to flex, and likely is... as long as you torque the bolts down right, and use a good material for your lift, a body lift should not affect the roll bars

I think mabye if I put my bump stops back in, it might prevent this from happening again. My tire might have been jammed up into the wheel well too hard causing the body to twist just enough to crack the weld on the roll bar.
