does this come apart???

as most of you ,who are on here regularly, already know I am building an amc 360. now in my process I have come to rut. I dont know how to get the piston rods off the the old pistons. I pretty sure the the old pistons are the originals(stock). now, to me it looks like the rod is connected to the piston. does anyone know if that is fact? or is there some special tool to get them out?

The wrist pins are probably pressed into the rods. If you don't see little circlips at each end of the wrist pin it's a good indication that they're pressed in. You'll need to bring them to a shop to get them pressed off and back on. The pistons and rods probably have a "front" side to them and this needs to be maintained during the press work (the manual should show you how to tell which is "front", some pistons have little arrows on them) Best of luck - John
