Alpine control arms

So I called teraflex to order control arms and they recommended the alpines. Anyone from the north where the roads get salted know how they fair in the winter? I'm from Massachusetts so lots of salt in the winter. I told the guy this and he said he has sold to people from the north and never heard of any problems but the colors are aluminum. Also is there anything to coat it with possibly to keep the corrosion off?

No the collars are what I'm worried about. Those are bare aluminum

Is that bad? I run Savvy control arms, and they are all aluminum (no coating). They aren't as shiny after about 5 years on the road, but they still look pretty good. Granted, I'm in Virginia.
