Allen Brake Bolt

I went to change the pads on my front brakes today, and quickly realized that I do not have the right size allen driver to take off the bolt to get the pads out. Could anyone tell me the right size to take that bolt off? Thanks in advance.

Hi,

7mm is probably correct. That is what my Cherokee's front calipers use.
But my TJ's calipers use standard bolts. Go figure

damn... i was messin around w/ my jeep (yes i still have one) saturday and i have dozens of hex keys but i couldnt find one to fit that darn bolt... now i know what i need!!

Thanks guys, It was 7mm. The only problem that I have now is I still have the same noise I was trying to get rid of. It's like a grinding/rubbing noise comming from the passenger side front wheel only when I hit the brakes. The wierd part is there is no vibration and the steering wheel does not pull. Any Ideas?? :?:

Was there any dirt, dust or something on the rotor and/or brake pads? Could have dirt embedded into the pad maybe not sure if this can happen or not but u could try switching the sides that the pads go on passenger to driver and visa versa to see if the noise switches sides too.
