Air conditioning

I have a 92 Cherokee with air. When I turn on the air, it will only come out of the defrost vents, not the dash. Does anyone have an idea what would cause this???

You have a vacuum line leak/broken line or a bad actuator, most of your air condition vent actuators are vacuum driven. You need to trace the vacuum lines as they enter the cab to see if one has slipped off its connection. if they are all on then the vent change actuator is located near your fan housing. Pulling the line you can use a hand held vacuum pump to see if the actuator is stuck. A good light mineral oil helps if its slow or stubborn. If all of that is working then its AC/Heater controller. Last time I checked its like 80 or dollars and sold as a whole unit.
