First off Air bags are a proven safety devise that has proven itself in the past to do just that, save lives from a front end collisions.
The personal risk to your self when the bag is deployed is far greater if it didn't deploy. They have been reports of minor flash burns due to the driver sitting too close to the initial deployment area, but think of the damage you would have received if it didn't deploy by not having them equipped in your vehicle or that you turned them off.

Oops - my apologies to you Landrover71 and the rest of the Zers - I ASSUMINGLY misread this post as one to bait the forum members. In the past, there have been a few threads that started out with a pretty redundant question/statement and after many replys from members it turned out to be someone just wanting to get their Ya-Ya's off at our expense until our members caught on and proceeded to run them off. Once I read on (another forum) that ""yah dudes, those idiots at Jeepz didn't catch on for 14 posts...what a bunch of Maroons"". Being that 1) this was Landrover's 1st post 2) the post sounded like it was phishing because you naturally sit close to a steering wheel if your going to drive 3) common knowledge that air bags save lives but may leave a minor bruise on a person as Utah jeeper mentioned. All in all, my bad for assuming and please accept my apoligies....if I'm mistaken. Maybe I should have PMed Landrover71 first rather than replied back? Could a moderator suggest a proper protocall for a member assuming phishing such as I did? Just trying to protect the integrety of JeepZ and the members....Sorry LBR

There has been a large increase in posts by new members that come across as trolling. It's their first post and usually a question that the answer is obvious, or the topic is usually hotly debated, like about non-jeep vehicles. Funny this new member's username is non-jeep.
This significant increase began after a troublesome member was recently banned. Call me paranoid.
