after market tops

straight up, the best after market top u can get is the Bestop Supertop. I love it, and wouldn't change it for anything. Its fully convertable - the frame folds down, with the top attached to it. no ugly pain in the ars snaps to deal w/, its all rails and stuff. just my $.02

I have to add a second to the vote for Super Top. I have had mine on for two years and it has been great. I would recomend it for the ease of use and convience. The top can be put up or down fully in 3 minutes. The only problem withthe top it that at highway speeds ( 60+) the tops of the doors tend to bow out. Other than that I love it.

I have an after market hard top and it is by Pavement Ends. It is a two piece Targa top and I like it real well other that the jokers at Pavement Ends do not sale parts for the dang thing. What kind of way is that to run a business. Other wise it is very nice factory lined with carpet and keeps the heat really well. It is also very quiet. The front of the top lifts off and that is nice to but it does leak in a hard rain if setting but I managed to seal it now and no leaks. I too need to get a soft top and glad you ask this ? I will be watching to see what these guys like! Welcome to the board and hope you find the Jeepz.com board to be your new online home. Tug [addsig]

I have the Bestop 'Sunrider' on my Jeep. I love this top and so do some of my Jeep buddies. It too can be taken down in a matter of minutes, but it also has the ability to fold back from the windshield in about 10 seconds. This is nice if the weather looks a little 'iffy' but you still want some open air. I love this top and would buy another one. But like the other Bestop's the door uppers bow out at highway speeds.

(Hint- you can bend/bow the door uppers in so that they stay tighter against the sides and do not bow out as much.)[addsig]

Yeah the Sunrider Top is identical to the supertop except that it has the fold-back option. Same hardware in the back, but has an addition bar that holds the front down on the windshield, You have to install some holders on the windshield to hold it down. Very easy to operate and a joy to have the open air above you. Its nice when its a little chilly for the whole top down, but still warm enough to get some air.

Pcoz88- When i put my top on i took out the torx bolts and put in regular bolts. That way its a lot easier to take back off in the future. Also, if those bolts get a stubborn, just use an 'easy-out'. They can't hold back from one of those
