Advise on worn out driveshaft spline

ok so the spline on my Jeep YJ's front driveshaft is worn out. i can wiggle it back and forth quite a bit. My question is "will this hurt anything in my dana 44 diff at low speed wheeling? i am not concerned about breaking the drive shaft but i am concerned about breaking my pinion!

does anyone have an opinion on this? should i will it till it breaks?

Shouldn't break the pinion.

might you have a dusted set of needle bearings? check your Ujoints

i know it is the slip spiline for sure cause i had to use special u-joints to mate my stock driveshaft to the larger yoke on the 44. But the old u-joints( i say old but they were only a year old) were dusted with zero grease in em.

if it doesnt hurt the pinion i am going to run it till she breaks :lol
