Adjusting the hatch

I have a gap at the top of my hatch the hatch closes and opens without issue but the gap you see in the image below is allowing water in and I need to move the hatch forward to seal it off but I cannot find any information on how to do it?

I am certain that the adjustment has to come from inside the Jeep and have removed the trim piece just inside the hatch and took this image because I still do not understand how this adjusts?

Has anyone done this, does anyone have a XJ (Mine is an 87) that they are parting out and can post some images?

I replaced hinges on the glass hatch of a Liberty. There was no alignment.
Check if the hinge is worn or if the gasket is flattening/dry rotting…
