I got me some chevy 1/2 ton springs today.. I'll be pulling them apart and deciding tonightwhich leafs to toss into my packs, then i'll be installing them tomorrow... If anyone cares, that's my journal for the day[addsig]

How many will you be adding and how do you decide which ones to use? Do you take out of your original pack and replace or just add to? New to me. tug[addsig]

What I did was took one pack from a chevy 1/2 ton... i've had the pack sitting at a garage for about 8 months... now seeing that he is not going to "have time" to let me use the lift... I decided to grab it and do it elsewhere... I am using the two longest ones, which are each longer than my main... and I am cutting them to equal length to somewhere a between my main and the next leaf. then the two shorter of the pack will be cut to equal length and placed in my front pack. I will be dropping my axle from my springs, dropping all helpers, then installing the new leafs where they best fit, replacing the center pin, then making new retainers. I am mainly doing this to help with my sag. I want to take some pressure of the air shocks in the back. It seems as thought this will work quite well. [addsig]

I've done the same thing to my YJ and a buddy's. I used a front set of YJ springs, and used the two longest leaves of each pack, cutting the eyes off the main leaf. This ensures that you have the same spring height/rate all the way around. Gave each jeep 1.5" of lift without sacrificing the ride. Great for SOA too :-D [addsig]

Still haven't gotten to it... these tile floors take a lot longer than they seem they will[addsig]
