I'm thinking about putting a lockrite locker in an amc model 20 I'm building for my cj. My ? is should I use the thrust block with one piece axle's or is it only used with the two piece axle's?

I suggest an Aussi Locker, cheaper and in my opinion a far better piece. and a jeep should never have 2 pcs rear shafts... never

How big of tires are you running? If you can afford a detroit or arb those are far Superior!

Right now I'm running 33's, but my next set will be 35's. I changed my mind on using the model 20. It was going to cost to much money to get it right so I'm going to rob a few part's from my 66 jeep truck and use a dana 44. It would be nice if my lock rite would fit the 44, but it probably won't.

your amc 20 is still stronger then the 44 the 20 has a bigger ring and pinion i have a locked and built 20 i run 38inch swampers on it and im puttin over 500hp to it for 10 years

Amc 20 stronger then a 44 (Impressive). Lock right from a model 20 to a dana 44 are not interchangeable. You can prob sell the other lock right on here if in good shape. Good luck
