A week without a CV shaft??

I just talked to Tom Woods Driveshafts and they told me I would have to give them a measurement AFTER I do my lift so they can make the correct cv shaft. They also said it would take 4-5 days to get over to the east coast. Question is... If I do my spring over can I just do road driving for a week with my stock shaft and no SYE? Otherwise I will have no transportation!

make sure you get that skidplate dropped at least 1.5 inches and you can drive do it

what made you chose woods, over highangle drive line, or a local shop?

I never heard of highangle driveline... do they have good prices?? I looked at a local place and they have great prices for regearing axles which I am having them do. I asked them about making me a cv shaft and they said 300 bucks, the thing is they don't use sye kit for some reason. Tom Woods told me 525 for the sye and the cv shaft delivered to my door. the down side is I hava to wait. I'll do a search for that highangle dirveline now... thanks[/quote]

wow... 300 just for the shaft is pretty steep.... you can get a shaft from a yard and have it cut down for about 60 bucks
