95 Rio Grande

I have just become a proud owner of a 95 Rio Grande. I am really excited but lack in the mechanical know how. One problem I am having is that my console to shift (automatic) from P R D 2 and L seems to have no lock on it. I cn on the fly just pull the thing down to any gear I want. It also seems to me that there is know distinction between D 2 and L. Should I worry about this? Is this common? Does it mean I possibly am missing either D 2 or L? Any help here would be greatly appreciated. Also i am missing the hardware to attach my front fender flares (stock) Can anyone tell me where I can find that sort of thing? Thanks [addsig]

On your lock, you dont have to push down the buttion to shif gears, thats no big deal, about the distenction between d2 and low shouldnt be any untill it is time to switch gears and then all low will do is keep it in first because you have a 3 speed transmission, so low=1st,

D2=2nd gear and D=3 and if you can put it in drive and pull out then you have a low because you have first gear. Did you get a 6 or a 4 banger? good luck with your jeep ohh for your fender hard ware go to any hardware store judge the holes in your fender and get you some nuts and bolt because they are cheaper [addsig]
