return line kink?

Just had my clutch master clyinder changed 2 weeks ago, fine for 4 days then clutch went to the floor, ended up being air in the lines, bled it again and it was fine for another 4 days, now its back to no pressure at all, I had to get home by matching revs to get it into gear. Could there just be another air bubble or could it be leaking somewhere that is letting air in?

ther could be yet another air bubble! Check your lines and master to see if there are any leaks anywhere. Wet clutchs are just no fun. tug

Long time sticky

where is the bleeder valve on it? And do I need any special tools to bleed it myself, I really don't want to have to get it towed to the shop to get this done.

The bleed valve should be right near your transmission filler bolt. It will look like 2 lines parallel to each other and one with a nipple on it. You don't need any special tools just a really small wrench (not sure what size). Have someone sit in the driver seat and pump the clutch a few times then hold it, while its pressed to the ground open then close the nipple for just a second and let some spit out. Do this as many times as you need until the clutch gets some pressure.

if u still get air after u do that then check for leaks, i usually get a small bottle of fluid and use all of it that way the lines are bleed and its all fresh fluid thats flushing out the old.. its just a little insurance to know that all the krud is out

your slave cylinder may have a leak... or the connections to it may not be sealed well

Brian, you got a lemon man. time to look for something else! That thing has been nothing but problems, and the dealer is no longer fixing for free! I will keep an eye open for a YJ in you price range.

Don't replace that YJ! Once you get it running the way you want it, you'll be glad you don't have a new car payment.
