I was changing the timing chain on my girlfriends jeep and forgot how to put the alternator back on. I can't find any pictures on the internet of a alternator bracket. This jeep has a serpentine belt and has had the AC unit removed. Anyone that has a similar jeep that could share some pictures, would be much appreciated! It is a 258 California AMC

What engine? The "85 CJ7 with the 258 came with a V-belt from the factory. Was your's changed to serpentine by a P.O.??

This engine was made for use in California so it has a serpentine belt and a few other things that were added from the factory. I suspect that is why I am having such a hard time finding any information on the mounting bracket.

Can we get pic's of your Cali serpentine system ? Don't remember if I've ever seen this in any repair manual of that year(s) . Wondering if it's close to what is used on a 4.0 liter.

It took me a bit b ut I figured it out eventually! Here are some pics to prove it =P
