Hello. Thanks for reading my post.

I have a 82 cj-5 that is completely restored. I had it running fine after refresh of everything. After about 20 miles ire- torqued everything, and changed my ingnition module on the steering coloum. Now the damn thing wont run unless i gas the hell out of it, and about 90% of the time it wont start at all. it just sprays gas out of the carb. if i do get it to run the exhaust gas temp would burn your had. it wont idle. im lost. i spent 10k restoring this thing and now it is something stupid i cant seem to fix. any info would be great..thanks

The ignition switch is on the column, the module is on the inner fender. There is only one way the ignition switch can go, so I would rule that out as a factor. The symptoms you describe sound like the engine is out of time. See if your distributor has come loose and check the ignition wire and coil as well. If all that is good, get out the timing light and verify that it is in time.
