4.0 litre swap

I currently have a 4.2litre and i am swaping to a 4.0, my question is can I put my external engine parts (altenator, power steering pump, etc) on the new 4.0 litre block?

do they look the same physically? can't you just swap the head and injection stuff and get a higher power engine? i think i read that on jeepforums

I think you need to swap timing covers too in some cases, but use all the bolts and spacers from the other motor the externals and brackets came from. If it has the wrong waterpump (IE XJ pump has an offset fan) use a Grand Cherokee or Wrangler pump and pulleys. (Vee belt pumps turn the wrong way!)
