318 swap pics

cut off 1/4 inch of the 231 input collar and re-drilled the 203 adapter to fit the 231. have the wiring ready to convert to mopar/gm from the jeeps. next hurdle is motor mounting and some pipes ! but all has gone very smooth so far. everyone ready for national topless day on May 8th ?????? (except me ! )

yeah it is ! had a morrisson power pac on it too ! i'll wait to see what i can do with that later ! here is the fit so far.

you bet. i never took her "under" but i splashed through the deeper puddles without a 2nd thought. the rubber gasket on the bottom and the rubber cap on top had the wing nut bolt through it to snug her down. the rubber sleeve allowed engine movement while staying snug.

ok. i am officially an idiot. never looked at the block casting , just assumed it was a 318 cause was told the all adventurers came with them...BUT never thought it might not be the orig engine. its a 360 NOT a 318.....cool huh !

lol yeah ! new radiator came a couple of days ago..( found the site right here on jeeps ! ) got the motor mounts welded in today. next up is hooking up the mopar ignition using a gm module and bend up some pipes for the beast. so would it be cool to sport a mopar ram above the jeep logo now ?????????????

ok have the cherokee home an stole the cable shift for the yj. cut off the bracket where it bolted to the t-case and welded it to the drop bracket on the 727 that was the pivot for the linkage. put a fitting on the trans shift arm and its a perfect fit. now i'm thinking of cable shifting the t-case as well ? I'd post pics but i **** for brained the camera again....i put it right where id be able to find it .......or did i ??????
