So I finally got around to installing the parts from MFC (lift) & RRO (rails).

Definitely need bigger tires now...

But I’m extremely happy. The rock rails from RRO are solid, and the aluminum spacers from from MFC look amazing.

Still looking to mount a winch, get a roof rack, and I need to fabricate a trailer hitch mount for my hi-lift to mount to, but this summer, I’m likely heading to MOAB in the new KL.

I’m thinking I’ll weld the flat steel bar to the top of the trailer hitch insert, but off center to account for some of the hi-lift’s bottom weight. 30” from hitch center is all I felt comfortable letting it go to one side, so I set the center there.

I’ll probably use 4x grade 8 bolts & washers to attach the jack to the steel plates in the pic, with the center hole being a pin style keyed trailer lock kinda like the one holding my hitch on, but a tad smaller to fit through the jack.

Thanks, they’re Rocky Road Outfitters’ newest rock sliders. Side step + full diamond plate covers on them. But very serious protection underneath. They were pretty heavy for two to be lifting, and we installed them using floor jacks to hold them up lol
