2016 jeep wrangler

Installed a pioneer avh 280bt. Used the rp4 chy11 harness with the radio pro module. But I can not get the steering wheel controls to work. Any suggestions?

I did some research and came across this post from Crutchfield:

Lots of Jeep guys saying that it works fine, but one guy saying that the new RP4-CH11 firmware doesn't work with Jeep Wranglers

It does what it is supposed to...sometimes. At first, it would not let the internal info screen on the dash go off - ever. Apparently it was keeping some subsystem alive. That eventually killed the battery. When it reset, either the ECU or the PAC reset and all was good. But new version already on the way. Installed that one, with newer firmware. But the steering buttons don't work. So uninstall, reinstall old one. Just too much pain for such a simple device.

Pros: Works great when it works.
Cons: Not trouble free and some concern the newer firmware does not work on Jeep Wrangler.

You need a can bus adapter to get the Controls on the steering to work.
