Hello everyone, I have a question for you guys. I have been looking for a rear bumper with a tire carrier that will hold a 35 inch tire, but also has a 2 inch reciever hitch that has towing capability? All the bumpers i can find have the hitch, but not the towing capability. I could use a hidden hitch, but was trying not to have to. Any suggestions on what bumper to buy? Thanks

Welcome to the Z. Most offroad bumper manufacturers don't rate their receivers for towing, yet they're remarkably strong if built and installed properly.

What is it you're wanting to tow?

I would recomend one of Ground Pounder Fabs rear bumpers. Very strong, easily carries a 35" spare, and with the frame tie-ins I'd see no problem towing. This is what I have on my TJ and I've pulled everything from snowmobiles to boats to U-haul trailers loaded. The owners name is Eddie, great guy to work with. I belive some other folks on here might have some of his bumpers too.

Thanks for the welcome mat, wanting to tow maybe a 4x6 trailor w/ a 4 wheeler or a 16 foot flatbottom boat. I really just like to have a hitch just in case i need it. I have Warn bumpers now, but the rear isin"t the 1 that you can add the spare tire carrier to. Any Ideas????

I know sometimes his stuff is on ebay from time to time. Just search Ground Pounder Fab.
