2002 Grand Cherokee - gas smell

I have a 2002 Grand Cherokee and I smell gas when I warm up the truck. As you know I am new to the site as well as jeeping. I bought the jeep for hunting only.


When I start the jeep in the morning to warm up, I can smell through the defrost and vents. If I go by the hood I can smell it there. I have no gas on the driveway.
It appears only when cold, once it warms up no smell.


Any suggestions. I am not a wrencher and could use help.

you have a little canister somewhere in the engine bay with some rubber hoses going to it. one of those is cracked, broken, or not connected. that, or one of your fuel supply/return lines are dry rotted and seeping gas
