2 in. Lift woes

Ok i just started adding a 2 in. to my baby. I got the kit from 4wd.com. It comes with springs and shocks.
Well now to the bad part. First to bolts on the upper rear shock mount sheared off (&@$%^#). With the help of a friend that is a mechanic we were able to remove one of them the other we may have to cut out (double &@$%^#).
We were able to get the other side off with a heat treatment (tourch heating the block). Yay one thing went right. We got the rear springs in no problem at all. YAY!!!
Now mounting the shocks. I descided to play it safe and get new mounting bolts cause the old ones were kinda trashed. The new bolts won't thread in (triple &@$%^#).
So far thats where i stopped for now. Just a little POed and thought i would just share my pain. I thought this would be cut and dry..... silly me.

I hear you. I first put a budget boost in my TJ, then went back and put in 2.5inch springs - it looked simple enough but each one took me a weekend.

You'll get it, and if you're like me you'll end up buying some cool new tools in the process.

a good quality rust penetrating fluid will be your best freind use lots and let it soak in.spray a couple of times a day for 2 days before you try the bolts, this will ease a lot of frustrations.my jeep was 10 years old when i started working on it ,tons of salt are dumped on our roads every winter, this almost welds the bolts together.lots of penetrating fluid, patience and work the bolts slowly back and forth and you should be able to get the bolts out without breaking them off

Kick a$$!!!! She's done finally. Took days for the rear end. The front took two hours. Two hours what the hell. No where near as many issue as with the back. Everything just popped off and popped back on. Easy as pie.
She's all buttoned up and tested.
And the pup approved.
Thanks for the input and letting me know that its just not me being a caveman.
