1978 cj5 steering column

Ve a 1978 cj5 and it has a newer model column in it. The column is toast and am looking for one close to my year. Mine is a manual on the floor and will take a straight or tilt.
Any ideas where to find or a replacement from a different model?
Help would be great at this point.

any jeep column will work all the way up to 86(I bet the wrangler columns will work as well, but not positive). They are GM columns, so just about any GM car or truck column will work, im not sure of the plugs ends under the column, if they will plug right into your jeeps harness or not, but shouldn't be a problem swaping connecter ends. Junkyard or craigslist, ebay.
