K and N filters are great, I love mine, but most places charging around 60 bines for the big ones is a rip off, what if you could have a filter that was huge but you had to replace it? The coolness of the sizing of the K and N but with a little less flow and youll have to replace it someday.

1. go to your local auto store, i went to pep boys. Check out the filters, i found a good one from puralator, find the boxes that are wider and tall. mine was around 6 wide, 12 tall and another 6 deep. check to find the ones that are cone shaped, these make great filters. mine is hug and it only cost $8.

2. Now all you have to do is grap a piece of plastic pipe, or you could actuall use pre-bent exaust pipe, and volia, airintake kit for cheap. ill have pictures soon.

ive been running this setup for a few runs now, it seems to be doing great. There will be some new sounds coming from your engine though. Upon accelerating it sounds like a super charger, and its also got a bit of a borla muffler sound to it ( if youve heard a borla youll know what i mean). Its great so far, also ive found that your local auto zone in the "import" section there are some nice big k and n style filters, $20, and theve got an open cap design so it will pull alot of air. match that up with some of autozones pre-bent exaust adapters, say a l bend and a 3 inch extention ( its about 14 inches long) and youll have a pro looking and performing setup for around $30. Much better than $250 for that K and N FIPK kit.[addsig]
