02 vs. 03 (shifter, suspension, etc)

I want a new short-throw shifter for my '03 TJ. I talked to the folks at Quadratec, and I guess I can't' use the 02 one because it hits the dash???? Is there a big difference between the 02 and 03 models? Does anyone know of one that will work? I've also heard that lifts for an 02 will not work. Anyone have any info, or know of any other differences between the two? Thanks!

The 03 wranglers have a few bolts that are different and the transmission drops are different. As far as anything else the kits are still identical. As far as the shifter I was talking to a couple of guys at New Venture ( the advantage to being in an offroad club where the transmissions and transfer cases are made) They said that you can get a shifter from a liberty that is standard and put it into your wrangler. They claim it makes a really trick short throw shifter and that it just bolts right in. I have not tried it yet but I am looking for one to try it with.

Yup you sure can or atleast I have seen a couple
with stick...But why not just make your own???? :-? [addsig]
