Hello, just bought a 1983 CJ7. When I got it home, I realized that the heater fan is stuck on and runs no matter what setting I have on the knob. Any thoughts on what to look at first to try and resolve?
Thank you, Paul
Jeep sounded pretty nasty, and it kept getting worse. I eventually noticed that the fan was making contact with the plastic shroud. I spent some time planning out how to lower the shroud, before I finally thought "why did the fan move"? It turns out that my 11 year old engine mounts had...
So it was about 100 degrees, air running and Jeep over heated, the dealership wants to
charge us $3700 to "fix" IF.... they can find the part (solenoid for fan?) Told us to call around to
find an after market one.
Anyone have any experience with this, does this sound reasonable?
Hi gang, I've been tooling along with the Contour~actually Mystique dual fan setup for over a decade now on 'Black Betty.' Fortunately I was in town when this failure occurred...

Please and thank you.
I have a 98 Cherokee Sport. I was drivin it yesterday and things were real good. I droped my friend off at his place , the fan was working great at keeping the air in the non-air conditioned xj moving.
I came back to the Jeep and started him up and had no heater fan of any kind.
I've checked...
2012 Jeep Liberty. No matter what I turn the dials to, the fan blows constantly when I start the engine. And no matter if I put it on vents, the defrost air is blowing.
I have a 99 wrangler with a stock clutch fan. I was wondering if its possible to change this to a standard fan that goes when the engine does. I dont like the idea of the clutch fan and its ability to fail... I also want to lower the temps on this rig cause i live in a much hotter climate than...
