You can also just swap out the gears in the axles with out removing the axles.

Does your temp gauge work the fuel and temp gauge share a common connection if one is bad it messes with the other.

What about a 4.2 or 4.0 with fuel injection. I put the mopar injection on mine I get about 22-23 mpg or get one out of the jeep junkyard.

I got a later model rear seat out of the junk yard only 2 bolts on the floor. I slides in to a mounted bracket put in carter pins and then it laches to the side. You can have it out in a minute and use the back of your jeep instead of having it bolted down. Just a thought.
