Fan not using a belt from the engine. I idea is you can turn it on and off when you like it. Frees up a bit of HP. Sitting in traffic in the summer with the fan running at full speed helps out for cooling. Not sure how many amps the fan needs. The stock taurus alternator is 100-130 amps.

I have an NV3550 in my YJ and it catches quickly, about 1/3 of the way into my release. My brother has an older 93 XJ that catches as soon as you start to release it.

I would have said go BDS from the start but you just asked about Rough Country and Skyjacker. BDS is the best, you won't find anything bad about BDS.

I had a 4" skyjacker on my TJ. Lift was real nice and complete, biggest problem was the arms would squeek all the time. Shock tubes rusted out pretty quickly but they replaced them the 3 times it happened. I know they redesigned the arms so they don't squeek anymore, then again a YJ won't have...

Just thinking...you talking about a locker like an OX? or something to get rid of the vacuum shifter fork in your front axle? If its for the shifter you can make one for like 20 bucks.

If you find any cable engaged lockers for under 200 let me know.

I got a BA10 sitting in my garage. I pulled it outta my 88 to put in an NV3550. Worked when I pulled it out. Where are you located?

YJs were big frankenstein cars. They used a GM column that's pretty much standard on all 80s and early 90s GM cars and trucks.

Looks like it'll work better than stock. I ended up using the Novak bracket and shifter. Shifts soo smooth now. Novak's NP / NVG Shifter Assembly for Jeeps

I would try and hunt down rubicon axles from a TJ. Both 44s and lockers already installed. If yer not going to wheel hard or beat on it go with the super 35 and regear what you got.

6" lift kit, SYE and new drive shaft, wheels and tires. Might not be the best idea depending on your current axles. What model TJ you have?
