ok so i put it in 4x4 and i knew it was in.....i turned the jeep off and let it set for about an hour or so got back in it and it was no longer in 4x4? How could this have happened? It didnt move the posi-lok was still engaged and i did not shift it out of 4lo? how could it have done that?

had the same problem with with my 95 wrangler.......where the upper arm slides into the lower there is a four way spring.....i had no spare spring but my buddy did have a welder! Our fix was just drilling through the upper arm and welding two nuts on each side of the holes and inserting two set...

Just installed a posi-lok system on my 95 wrangler because of issues I thought i was having with the vacuum system? The posi-lok works great but im still having issues with the four wheel drive? It is still not reliable when it comes to engaging? Could this be the transfer case? thanks guys!

there were a little grinding and i mean a little and it was very faint coming from under the cab? maybe i should for now just replace the vacuum lines from one end to the other huh? Definitely going with the posi-lok system ASAP!!!!!

Ok the problem is back! It worked great for a while and then all of a sudden it is acting up? It goes in then comes right out without warning! Transfer case maybe? How can I tell?

What about an air tube? they cost like $30 and a filter costs maybe $35 and supposed to give you a little extra "umph"? would that be worth a shot?

I was told that it wouldnt be worth the money for me to put a cold air intake on my 95 wrangler......the gas mileage isnt that good and thought a cold air intake would help with the gas and also give it a little more spunk!!! Would it help or hurt me? Thanks!

ok got a good vacuum on both sides when put into 4H and 2 wheel drive? It seems to be holding good too? does this mean its the shift motor seizing up?

Whats causing this thing to partially engage? Has the shift motor got a diaphram in it that may have a pin hole in it causing it to loose pressure gradually but small enough to fully engage it instantaneously?

Could this also be problem with the actuator?

If it is the shift motor then does that mean that there is a hole in the diaphram? Or could there be a vacuum leak? How does oil get gummed up inside the housing? What kind of oil do i need to relplace it when i take it off? Would it be easier to do away with the cad system and go to a lever...
