Partsamerica.com has a cool feature that lets you see what other vehicles a part is for. Look up your 98 Durango pump and then click that link. It will tell you what other years the same box was used on.

You can make sure its doing anything by just disconnecting it and seeing if your timing changes. Checking it's "calibration", for lack of a better term, would be much more complicated.

You can get a cheap ($10) replacement mirror at your local auto parts store. They sell one that has an arm on it, and you can just drop a bolt through the end of the arm and into your door hinge. Works well for a buddy of mine.

You might have disconnected the sensor or damaged it when changing the oil filter. Its right next to the filter. Check the wiring, then change out the sensor. When my 00 XJ started showing 0 psi a few months ago it was a bad sensor. It would just drop to 0 out of nowhere and come back to...

God, I miss college. If you really want to get somebody, sharpie their elbows. Its tough to get clean, and you can't see while you are trying.
