Nevermind, after work I checked the plugs, after 119,000 miles the original plugs gave up. #4 was covered in carbon and the rest had almost no electrode left showing. I'm just glad it was a cheap fix.

00 Grand 4.0 bucking and surging under load, any ideas besides the obvious tune up. Anybody else ever had similar problems?

Does anyone know if there is a difference between the lower end of a 93 4.0, and a 00 4.0. I know the head is slightly different because the 00 uses a COP ignition system. But I'm not sure about the lower end.

I just rebuilt the trans in my wifes 93 grand. Its a 5.2 with the 46rh. my problem is that the trans works in the drive ranges but in reverse the trans makes a clunk sound like its engaging but doesn't move. Also in neutral the vehicle won't move like the parking claw is engaged. If anyone here...

I just rebuilt the transmission in my wifes 93 grand. Whenever i removed the cross member one of the nuts in the frame rail had broken the welds, so the nut just spun in the hole. I cut the bolt to remove the cross member. I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else, and if so what you did.

I do have the 8.25, but parts are too expensive for them. And I really would like the disc brakes. Plus if the axle breaks the 8.8 seems to be alot easier to find than the 8.25.

I was thinking about a locker. and a set of 4.10's would help out a ton.Right now I have a 93 cherokee 4.0 5-speed with 3.07's which is great on fuel economy but once I get a lift and bigger tires that will really suck, as I found out on a 90 cherokee that I had.

Does anyone know where I might be able to get info on doing a V8 conversion to my cherokee, its a 93 4.0 5-speed if it matters ? I've considered a 4.7 stroker but would also like to think about a V8. Thanks for the help. Jon

pull the platic up and reach up the hole, there is a rod going up to the lock cylinder from the door latch, undoing it from the latch was easier for me, then remove the u-clip from around the lock, it should pop out after that. just remember how everything went togather

Could anyone please tell me the torque specs for the rod bolts ,main caps, and the head?

Check for spark. If there isn't any I would bet on a crank posistion sensor.

4.0 Rebuild I think the only differences are the cam,and injection but there could be more.
