    transmission linkage bushing

The bushing is on :) My oldest son came up. When he found out he couldn't just push it on he wrapped his thumb in elec tape and pushed it in. Now I just have to go back out there and finish things up ........ which should be easy.

    transmission linkage bushing

I've tried channel locks but one side of the bushing goes in and the other side pops out. I feel like I just don't have enough strength in my fingers anymore. My grandson is off work today so hopefully he will have better luck. Guess it won't be today, my great grandson was sick all night so...

    transmission linkage bushing

Yes it's the bushing on the end where it hooks up to the transmission. The replacement bushing is clear. If I don't get it on today I'll buy those pliers - I also belong to the can't have too many tools club. I tried yesterday to use a bolt and washers to squeeze it on but it would turn...

    transmission linkage bushing

The bushing on my automatic tranny linkage fell out and I'm having a hard time pressing the new one in. My fingers don't seem to be strong enough and pliers or channel locks won't squeeze it in straight - the bushing turns instead of going in. Any ideas ?? almost forgot, it's a 2010 JK

Bad TPS, do I need a Mopar replacement?

I had a 1990 XJ for 13 yrs. I replaced the TPS twice with an after market one during the first 6-7 yrs before replacing with a factory one so there maybe some truth in what JPN said. That TPS was still working correctly when I sold it.

    Chrome Capped Lug Nuts 🤬

I've never seen a lug nut strip out like that. Could you take a chisel and turn the nut? A lot of modern vehicles have those stupid chrome lug caps. I bought my JK brand new and when I went to rotate the tires the first time one cap was missing and several came off. I complained to the dealer...

    Unusual brake issue

A faulty speed sensor can apply the brakes usually during or after a turn and be fine the rest of the time.

    Unusual brake issue

A faulty speed sensor can engage the brake but that normally just affects one wheel - which will get hot. But that won't cause a wobble as far as I know.

    Serpentine Belt issue

It's been a long time since I had an XJ but seems like the belt was always a tad narrower than the pulley.

    CC skimming

I had to get a new card earlier this yr. They told me 10 days unless expedited. I asked how much that cost and they said no charge. I got my new card in 1-2 days.

    Lawn woes

I have mountain property and barely any soil under the sod. Took me over 20 yrs to get it all green and I have no aspirations of a weed free lawn. Good thing too as last year our great granddaughter came over, pulled out a sandwich bag full of dandelions and proceeded to blow them across the yard.

    Accident Woes

Did you discuss the paint sag with them? Personally that sag would bug me every time I used the jeep since it's on the driver's side.

    Accident Woes

I'd take it back and make them fix the run along with the door lock. A paint sag in an easily viewed area is never acceptable. No reason for them not to have switched the lock back or at least provide a key for the replacement door.

1987 Jeep XJ manual window issue

My stepson used to have a Liberty and both of his back windows quit working [would actually slip down] Since it was rare for anyone to ride in the back seat and to save him money I just propped those 2 windows up. On his there was a plastic gear that stripped out if I remember correctly. Are...

Jeep TJ oil drain plug gasket - do we need to change this?

A lot of vehicles specify replacing it but I never have unless it was dripping when tight.
