    Engine Build Suggestions

Do some research on the 304, 360 and 401 in regards with oil distribution upgrade. It involves plumbing a line from the front of the engine oil galley to the rear of the crankshaft bearing oil galley feed. I did this to my AMC 360 after the original AMC 304 that was in my CJ7 locked up. Sent...

    Manual or automatic?

I've always liked manual trans. As mentioned before, its bullet proof and simple to repair if something goes bad internally. Less maintenance than and automatic. Shift on demand and engine brake option is good too. Sent from my iPad using Jeepz

    Tail light swap gone wrong!

I agree. Check the fuse. The stop and turn wire should be the same from the body harness. Use a test lamp and check the wiring on the harness going to the front while the hazard lamps are on so you can find out if there is a break in the lines. Check your ground as well. Tail light swap gone wrong!

Hook up one side at a time and test it.. Both sides should be wired the same. Also, your likely going to need a load resistor on the turn circuits if the lamp assembly doesn't have one in it.. The load resistor will enable the flashers to work properly to keep it from not working or blinking too...

    foglight wiring

Sometimes it does Zack, however, if the factory harness is used and the multifunction switch is replaced, the jeep will need to be brought to a dealer for programming.. The VIN configuration must be updated by the dealer, TIPM reprogrammed and feature enabled.. Not as easy as it used to. The new...

    foglight wiring

You will need to find a rubber grommet to punch a hole through or if its an automatic, there should be a plastic body plug where the clutch should be if it was built with a manual trans.. Sent from my iPad using Jeepz

1993 jeep grand cherokee code problems

Do you have a security system?. As far as the engine dying after it starts with the new PCM, it might have something to do with a security system or a programming issue or the lack thereof. As for the running part at 10mph , check the TPS voltage and sensor sweep to make sure there's no bad...

    33"s or 35"s on CJ5

I've been running my 81 CJ7 with 35's for over 15 years with narrow track 30 front and AMC 20 rear. I used to run 35x 12.5 -15's until 2004, I switched to 35x14.5-15's. I haven't had any issues with the axles however, I have made pretzels out of my drive shafts and upgraded It since. Sent from...

    Trading automatic transmission for manual

Also check on your local state laws regarding the conversion. It is illegal in some states due to emission regulations. I know what your thinking, what does that have to do with the conversion. When a vehicle is built with an automatic transmission, it will produce a different amount of emission...

    Replacing CJ Ignition Switch

Same column I have on my 81 CJ7. They are the old GM steering columns. The columns changed when YJ's came out but mostly on the multifunction switch. Some of the bearings are still the same until later on before the TJ body. Sent from my iPad using Jeepz
