need help with wiring harness ahhhh help me please

You will need to re-flash the PATS system out of the ECM, that said, I am unsure if people are re-flashing DC ECMs. What 4.0 do you have, pre or post 03 (might be 02,) the older 4.0 had a distributor. Supposedly, and I have not nor ever verified this, but the later ECM's are easier to crack...

    88 yj front driveshaft

Did you check your local craigslist for jeeps being parted out? If all else fails, search your area for a drive shaft shop, suck it up and get a new shaft made or rebuild your current slip shaft.

    88 yj front driveshaft

Cheapest route would be a junk yard drive shaft from any YJ will work and should not cost more than $20. Just make sure the slip shaft is in good condition, spend another $30 or so and toss some new joints at it and run it.

98 Wrangler (Trans issue when Cold)

Regarding yout oil lines, they leak probably from rust, if you intend on keeping the jeep for a long time (I generally keep my vehicles 20+ years) replace the whole line with a conversion fitting like to a -6 or -8 and then run braided stainless lines. after this replacement, I have never had a...

    o2 sensor

Do the wires still have the Pins attached or are they frayed loose wires? The four wires are all different color, I recalled seeing a O2 schematic for my 94 in either the FSM or chiltons years ago when I added a narrow band air/fuel gauge. If you can't locate the schematics, I would just find...

    1979 CJ5 I'm new at this

The OEM roll bars are hard to find for 2 reasons, limited production and that the suck as roll bars and offer little to no protection. I understand if you want the stock appearence and I can appreciate that, but if safety is your concern, put in something far more substantial with solid A and B...

Saw a Rubitrux, not sure what to think

True let me correct myself, it is a AEV ceonversion half cab, it is not the full on brute conversion as in a seperate pickup bed. Back when the TJ was new(er) our local dealership was selling these half cabs, midgates, and modified roll bars that are made by AEV, sold under the brute name and...

    Tire question

All great suggestions, I've had great luck with pro-comp xtreme AT on a pickup. As for tire size, the size will not increase or decrease the road noise, the tread design will. In regards to the size, probably won't make a difference to go to a 31, unless the axles were regeared very deep (for...

anyone running a rear Detroit locker in a daily driver weekend wheeler?

Not very tire friendly though. Granted my jeep had leafs at the time, with fill case detriots and years of DD the jeep, stock and slightly stretched wheel base with all sorts of tires from 33-38's, I never experience any of those characteristics. I never felt the locker lock or unlock, even...

    Axle relocation plates

I think your over thinking this. If you re-drill the springs, you will need to remove the old center pin, and simply move everything to the new center pin. That said, Drilling spring steel sucks. You'll go through several drill bits.

    Axle relocation plates

I can't get the pics to post, Check out this site Axle Swap Combo you will see in teh pics the perches and plates with several holes, those different holes allow for forward and rearward movement of the axle. If you have the stock perches, you might need to cut them off as they are cast and...

    Axle relocation plates

Yes, that is what I was trying to describe. you will also have to re-drill the axle perches to match if they already are not drilled. I'l look for a pic.

anyone running a rear Detroit locker in a daily driver weekend wheeler?

I used to DD my jeep and it had a detriot front and rear. Both axles are D44's so the front I had manual hubs and could disconnect. never knew the rear was there unless I was turning and got into the throttle a little. Offroad, never had a failure to lock up and was a little more fogiving on...
