i have that same locker in my amc 20 in my jeep cj7 it has worked wonderfull for me i am very very happy with it

u can use it with the one piece axles part number for the lock right is loc 1710

if u get a glazeing on the belt they will squeal something awful but as that is a 4.0 i would check belt tensioner and atlenator take the belt off and give them a spin by hand check for bad bearings in the pulleys as well as water pump

i ussually find a spot next to another jeep or ill park it on top of the snow banks where noone else can get close to my baby came out the other day from wallmart ta find a blazer stuck and barried to the axles trying to get up the same snow bank ta park close to my jeep

im not from your neck of the woods im in wis was just putting in my 2 cents on what i would do first run a good carb cleaner threw your fuel system that will help with the rough idle a bit when was the last time u gave it a good tune up?

for starters i would change the oil and put fresh gas in it and give it a good greese job
