ok u do get a smoother ride but u allso will get a little bit of front axle hop on hard brakeing a little more flex when offroading i have it in my jeep cj7 and i am seriousely thinking of fliping them back to stock

ya it blows snow about 60 feet and its powered right off of my 383 stroker v belt to a pto conversion then a drive shaft out to the blower hydro up down all consealed under the jeep lol

they 350 swap isnt all that exspensive i reused my transfer case and my axles with an addapter plate from advanced adaptors to put the th350 to the dana 300 tc

find a dana 60 front from an early 80s 3/4 ton chevy or gmc truck

go with a full width dana 60

your amc 20 is still stronger then the 44 the 20 has a bigger ring and pinion i have a locked and built 20 i run 38inch swampers on it and im puttin over 500hp to it for 10 years

do u still have the 2 piece axle shafts in that amc 20 if so get new bearings and one pice shafts mine was doing the same thing the bearings in the axle the inner and outer where bad causeing lots of axle play that is why i rebuilt my amc and put a lock right lock in it at the same time i...

personally i would change out the whole works new ring and pinion and spider gears now would be a good time to install a locker !!!! just my opion but that is what i would do and new bearings never know what all got metal flacks in it

i personaly woundnt put the jeep on the chevy frame !!!!! do the motor swap u will like it so so much better and it will perform awesome here is a pic with a 383 stroker sbc in a cj

if your going ta put it on a chevy frame u might as well just set it on a full size blazer frame the 350 swap into the yj is fairly simple and the frames hold up very well to a 350 with no problems
