How do you remove a rubber bushing?

Terry, on aftermarket applications like that, I usually tear up the rubber bushing to make the hole larger inside. Just enough to slip in a hacksaw blade and attach the handle to the saw. Carefully cut the sleeve until you can collapse it in the track bar hole. It should come out after that. To...

Wanted 4 bbl intake for 304

I'm quite happy with my Edelbrock performer intake however, if I was to change it out, I'd go with the Edelbrock Airgap series.

    Transmission Qs

I have the T-176 on my 81 CJ7 that came with the Dana300 from the factory. Originally came with an AMC 304 V8 but have been transplanted with an AMC 360 V8. I haven't had any issues with the transmission with this setup. The t.case is pretty tough to beat..

Help! code P0330 on my 06 commander 4.7Lt. prognosis and solution?

The two knock sensors (1) are bolted into the cylinder block under the intake manifold (3). NOTE: The left sensor is identified by an identification tag (LEFT). It is also identified by a larger bolt head. The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) must have and know the correct sensor left/right...

need help with wiring harness ahhhh help me please

If a re flash is in order, it might have to be an aftermarket software and programmer. The factory scan tool used to flash the ECU's are VIN specific therefore, if the scan tool is installed on the vehicle, it will read the PCM VIN first and populate the available flashes for that specific build...

Part of the dash not lit

On a 2002 KJ instrument cluster, you can take the cluster out of the vehicle and access the bulbs on the rear of the cluster circuit board. It's a twist socket design. Some dealers carries the bulbs for them. Best bring one in for a sample. Test the bulbs first with a continuity tester to...

CJ7 Steering Column Dilemma- Oh Crap!

Mark, If its a tilt column, the wobble usually is due to a loose tilt bracket plate held by 4 inverted torx head bolts. I've had the same happen on mine and I used a red locktite on the bolts 6 yrs ago and its still holding good.

CJ7 Steering Column Dilemma- Oh Crap!

If you have access to a junkyard, look for an older model Chevy pickup truck. I'm not sure of the year if the 79 or 80's model is the closest match on the steering column. Maybe someone else can chime in on this with a better info on the year.

Back driver window/ radio heat issues.

Sometimes, if you keep your finger on the up button while banging on the center of the door panel, the window would go up. This advise is just a quick possible temporary solution , not a repair.. If the window only goes down but not up intermittently, the possible issue would either be the...

2004 cherokee evap has me baffled. :(

The evap. System has a purge and a pump solenoid. If all the evap lines are tight with no cracks then check the canister and the two solenoid that was mentioned. There should be a vent tube that leads to a vent cap and its normal for it not to be sealed. Your likely culprit could be the purge...

    1991 jeep wrangler wont start

Check the ignition 12v circuit on the ignition switch. Start from there for the no start condition. You might have a bad 12v feed that looses continuity after it gets hot from a poor connection or worn contacts from the switch.

When fuel spews back out from the filler neck , it usually means there is a restriction on the vent valve or line in the fuel tank or in the emission lines.

To a certain extent ,there will be what's considered as a normal sound coming from the transmission bell housing area however, if what your describing is a bad rattle, that may indicate a possible release bearing, input bearing or a pilot bearing failing..

Firearms control permit? What's that for?.. I've collected firearms long before I owned my jeep. Both of which I will not give up :) .. Things done when bored

Great piece!! Most of the o'l names in firearms has risen up in the market with twice the value its had before. If I remember correctly , CZ bought Dan Wesson back in 1995 and produced some good quality pistols. The former owner Bob Serva then opened his new company named Fusion Firearms that's...
