    credit card number stolen....

I've heard of personal info being stolen over cordless phones. Don't know if this has anything to do with your issue, but it can be done. If you ordered stuff with a 900mhz cordless phone anyone within at least 1/2 mile radius could pick it up with a good frequency scanner. Your card info...

    xfer 99 wj

That's because you got a NV242 case from an XJ with an AW4 trans. Your WJ has a 42RE trans. The hard parts are the same on both cases, but the bolt flanges are different. I used to see that kind of stuff daily when I worked in auto salvage.

    Automatic build up?

AW4's are tough transmissions. My friend beats his AW4 trans daily, and has never had an issue. When I worked in auto salvage we hardly ever got a call for an AW4. We got a ton of calls for 42RE's, lol! The only transmissions tougher than an AW4 are TH350's, and TH400's, both are very hard to...

    Transmission issue

My guess is Gorvernor solenoid, and/or governor pressure sensor. That's the weak link on ZJ/WJ 42RE transmissions. Your downshifting problem is the first indicator of this. The governor is a valve that tells the transmission how fast the car is going. A spring loaded valve opens in proportion to...

    Wrangler Parts

I'll do that. I have all of the 4.0L changeover stuff. I'm having problems finding a good frame in Ohio. My Sahara frame is rotten at the steering gearbox, and right rear spring mount. If anyone here local to me has a 'Good' rolling YJ chassis minus bodytub, let me know. BTW the AX-5 is sold.

LOL! That's friggin hilarious,...so true. The same thing applies to the clean area on the garage floor. That's up to you. It's nice to have a good backup vehicle. Just remember you'll have to plate, insure, and maintain another vehicle.

Need advice.Thinking about buying a used jeep.

Take your time, choose wisely, be thrifty, there's a lot of junk out there. It took me 1 month to find a nice YJ, and 2 months to find a really nice XJ. I looked at 50 plus Jeeps in person and on the net when I searched for my XJ & YJ's. I eventually found exactly what I wanted for the price I...
