Do you grow your own food?

I have a small garden to grow some stuff and consume as it ripens. I don't sell. I just like the fresh vegies. Tending it takes a little time every week but i don't seem to mind as much as i did when i was a kid.

    Anybody mind wheeling with non-jeeps?

My local club is not brand specific. I'll run with anything that will keep up with me and help those along that can't. Even wheeled with a motorcycle once.

    89 XJ motor swap

I do a lot of offroad krawling so i would have gone with the 4BT instead of the 4.7 stroker that i finally went with if i had found one at a reasonable price. Low end torque was what i was going for.

    Detroit is bankrupt

Major problem is the liberal policy of tax and spend. There hasn't been a conservative mayor there since the 60s. Those that had money, have moved out because of it and those that want have stayed on draining the system dry. The whole country is becoming this way because the govt. promises to...

    Rear panels separating

Most likely the rear crossmember is rusted or bent from excessive weight put on the side panel. Rear body mounts on the CJs were closer together than later models and were more apt to do this.

    Replacement transfer case shift lever

Have a short piece of ready rod or a bolt with the head cut off welded to the shift lever that you have. Or dig the threaded part out of the shift knob and have it welded back on.

    TJ starter?

No i don't know if they all will fit. What i was refering to was that the used outo parts yard will know. I do believe that the 95 will fit the 2000 as long as you have the same engine in both.

    Speedometer signal change thingy

Thanks Bounty-Hunter. I didn't find anything there that would help me. I found this Electric Speedo to Cable Conversion Kit Price is acceptable but I'm not sure i like the idea of it mounting to the backing plate. I go in places where i don't want to worry about more wires to rip off. I also...

    TJ starter?

Your favorite local auto parts store will have one. Most any auto junk yard would have one too. The same starter fits many years and models.

    Speedometer signal change thingy

Yes, I found those terry but my speedometer is still a mechanical one and soon i plan to change it over to a CJ type speedometer. The one i remember is a motorized unit that hooks to the back of the speedometer and is controlled electricly by the sending unit on the transfer case tail shaft.

    Speedometer signal change thingy

A while back, Maybe even a year or so ago, someone posted about a unit that changes the electronic speed sensor signal from the tranfer case to a mechanical one at the speedometer. I can't find it. I thought i had stored the information in my computer, but, not so. I have a mega short shaft...

    91 jeep wrangler 4x4

There a little harder on the wheel bearings. The bigger the tires the harder they are on the bearings. If you're going to wheel it hard i would suggest not to use them. If you only terrorize the public on paved roads, Maybe you can get away with them. My preforance would be the aftermarket wheels.
