There is a reset on the brake valve (under the master or elsewhere on the lines) Generally you bleed the front or back then the light comes on so you open the other side and press the pedal until the light just barely goes out. Otherwise it goes overcenter and turns the light on again.

Don't know if they changed it, but my '91 was 3 screws and a plug under the hood.

Like I said, the main computer controls the alt. It gets corrosion inside and the drivers go bad. It's so common that it should have been a recall.

The pressure plate died and the throw out bearing ate through the teeth that it's supposed to ride on so it can't release your clutch anymore. Sounds like integral slave (yuch!)

They are a common street thread. Some were std and some were metric. IIRC, the ones I had were 14mm (same as spark plug)
