    Whirring/Whining sound

Is the jeep pulling to either side at all? What about when you brake hard? If something is rubbing heat will be generated, so take a 5-10 minute drive at highway speeds and get out to feel if the hub has warmed up any. If you have the time and a driveway you can jack the front end off the ground...

    Questions for forced injection guys

I've been doing research and gathering parts to turbo my 93 wrangler 4.0L. I already know where I'm placing the turbo and how I'm routing the exhaust but I've seen all kinds of opinions on how to manage the ecu and A/F ratio. The FTC-1E seems to be the way to go, and is where I'll eventually end...

    Terra Low 4:1

I see that I posted in this a while back and the friend I referred to has since changed his mind. He's on his 4th tera low unit and doesn't expect this one to last either. According to him the tera low for the 231 has sun gears, similar to an automatic transmission, and anything over 2k rpms...

    More Tn Wheelin(sorry 56k)

I'm not sure what all was on that TJ. It was a nice rig but the driver wasn't all that nice and he lacked alot in the driving department. He had all kinds of trouble coming between that stump and rock and the both fairly stock Rubicons made it look easy. Jeeper99- What part of Tn do you live...

    More Tn Wheelin(sorry 56k)

More Being second in line I was always through the obstacles before someone would get stuck and they'd start busting out the cameras. This is the only action shot of my rig.

    More Tn Wheelin(sorry 56k)

Seems like the only time I ever really post is to show pictures of the trail rides. These are from Windrock in East Tn. I'm always too busy driving to take pictures so these are what I've collected from the guys i rode with. The group(everything from built on 38's to stockers) Wheeling...

    low MPG?

1993 Wrangler 4.0HO with 263k miles on it averaging 14-16 depending on how my mood changes(40%highway/60%city). Rolling on 33x12.50 tires but I'm geared down to 4.10 with the manual transmission.

    shock/Tire for washboard dirt raods

I've been wheeling hard on my 30/35 combo with 33x12.50 mud tires for a couple years now. Same pair from my 4banger now sit behind the 4.0HO and I've never had one problem out of them.

    Soft Top

If I remember correctly they changed the front windshield a little from 02 to 03. That's why all the soft tops list 97-02. I know the hard tops won't switch out but I don't know if the soft tops will.

    Help please 5th gear question!

I have the 4.0HO with 33x12.50 tires and 4.11 gearing and it's perfect gearing for around town/interstate and still being able to wheel. I can cruise at 70mph at like 2300rpms and roll on up to 80+ if I needed to. No lack of power and it also brought back some of my gas mileage.

    I hate transmissions!!!!!

Redline mt90 is the best but it's hard to find around here without ordering it online. I've used syncromesh and it cured my grinding problem and made my ax5 a much better shifting transmission overall.

Let's make the definitive list of what to bring off road

I've always found it handy to carry a gallon or two of water for the radiator or just cleaning off the windshield after a mud run.

    Hello dear friends !

Welcome to the Z. I looked up offroading in Romania on google and it looks like the terrain there is very similar to here in East Tn, southeastern part of the USA. Very green, muddy when it rains, hill climbs, and the occasional big rock or two. Post up some pictures of your jeep. I'm interested...

    help

Get rid of the 4banger? Haha, J/K I rocked the 4 for a long time. Gears will help, 4.88 or lower, but it'll never be fast.

    Lincoln locker

Any time I've ever seen a d30 break it was at the u-joint. There's quite a few guys that run welded 30's with the two piece shaft in our club and they hold up just fine as long as you don't get completely stupid on the trails.
