What would make a clicking sound in the front end while turning in four wheel drive? I know you are not supposed to make a turn in four wheel drive on dry pavement which I do not do.The four wheel drive works fine too. Thanks JJ

If you are going to have throw out bearing replaced, do yourself a favor and have the clutch changed too.

I have an 88 Jeep Wrangler. I cannot removed the front hub assembly. I removed the 3 bolts, but she won't budge. Also, can the axel shaft and the hub assembly be removed as one unit?? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank You

Check for slack in the timing chain. I too have a 258 I6. When I pulled my motor to rebuild it, I found out the knock was from the very stretched timing chain slapping into the timing cover. It is worth a look.

Hey guys... I have an 88 Wrangler. I want to do a small lift on her. From your experience, what is the maximum shackle length I can install before screwing up the pinion angle, and or cause other problems? Thank You Very Much.....

All fixed... It turns out that the alternator had a short in it. Figures, the only part I did not change during the rebiuld. Thank You all for your input...

I would just install some 1 1/2" shackels. That should give you the clearence that you need. I ran into the same issue with my jeep. When I install my 31" I only had about an inch of clearence.

Have you tried pulling the master cylinder apart, and clean it up with some brake cleaner. There could be something clogging the rear line feed.

Have you tried bleeding the entire brakeing system? You may have air in the lines.

Well I wiggled all the harnesses, put a wire from the Neg. on Battery to the body, with no sucess. I started to do some troubleshooting, it seems only to sputter when the head lights are on, Not the parking lights. WTF...... Any ideas???? Thanks...
