It sounds like the brake fluid is heating up and expanding. Something is not letting the fluid back in the master cylinder. If you went from drum to disc did you remove the check valve in the master cylinder itself.

74-75 Dana 44's had the 1-3/4" wide springs as well. It was in 76 they switched to 2" width.

.002 is nothing. Check all of the vacuum lines. Make sure that none are cracked and splitting.

You can turn the ignition key on three times without starting the engine to bring up codes on the odometer. So you would turn on, off, on, off, then back on at that time if there are any codes they will display on the odo. Thats were you should start and then go from there.

Well going with the newer axles you can have disc brakes up front and there are more options with the newer axles as well. Better aftermarket support.

I believe going with the dana 44 from a 74-75 CJ will be a direct bolt in. You will have one piece axles as well. I had on in my old 74.

You can also use a rear dana 44 from a 74-75 CJ. They had one piece shafts.
